Midwest Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is excited to welcome new patients to our practice in Palos Heights. Whether you need a wisdom tooth extraction, dental implants, or specialized oral or maxillofacial surgery, our team delivers exceptional surgical care.
Your First Visit
During your initial appointment, you’ll meet with your oral surgeon for a thorough consultation. We’ll review your diagnosis and discuss your treatment options in detail. In some cases, surgery can be performed on the same day as your consultation. However, if your medical history or treatment plan is more complex, a follow-up appointment may be necessary to ensure the best possible care. A preoperative consultation and physical examination are mandatory for patients undergoing IV anesthesia for surgery.
Please assist us by providing the following at the time of your consultation:
- Your surgical referral slip and any X-rays, if applicable
- A list of current medications
- All necessary completed forms if you have medical or dental insurance
Please note: A parent or guardian must accompany patients under the age of 18 for the consultation visit.
Scheduling
We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your waiting. Due to the fact Drs. Cudney and Gauger provide many types of dental services, various circumstances may lengthen the time allocated for a procedure. Emergency cases can also arise and cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience. If you have pain or an emergency situation please call our office so we can assist you in managing the situation.
